POP3 Service
EDIT: SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR LATEST INFORMATION.
We officially have a timeframe of when the POP3 service will be activated. The rollout will be between 6-8 weeks.
Beta testing will happen in approximately 4 weeks from today (perhaps sooner). If you would like to be a tester, please send an email to
support@zoobuh.com with your contact information and a statement of interest.
We look forward to this major improvement. If you have questions regarding this, please post below.
Thank you.

What about IMAP? This announcement is for POP3 only. IMAP will be available when there is more demand for it. For most kids, POP3 will be
sufficient.

You indicated on 12/1/09 that you were 8 weeks away. it has been 12 weeks. It has been at least 5 weeks since your last post and we have still heard
no update.

Hi deblaw88,
We've had pop3 available in the beta test for a few weeks. If you'd like to be a part of it, please email me at support@zoobuh.com and I will send
you the information to connect.
Thanks!

Hi, I'm trying to use the pop3 server for my account. I thought I knew the settings but am unable to connect. Could you point me in the right
direction?
Incoming: pop.zoobuh.com
outgoing: smtp.zoobuh.com
Do I need to enable the service on the account somehow, and if so how?
Thanks!
Steve Dunn

Hi Steve, I was going to respond then I realized you're already set up.
But for anyone else looking for information, it does require your account to be enabled for it to work. Contact us at support@zoobuh.com so we know
who you are, and we can get you set up.

You no longer need to be added to use POP3. If you experience problems, email support@zoobuh.com.
Choose POP/POP3. Do not choose IMAP.
Incoming Server: pop.zoobuh.com (!) SSL/TLS DISABLED OR TURNED OFF (!)
Incoming Port: 110 (default)
Outgoing Server: smtp.zoobuh.com
Outgoing Port: 587
Username: username@zoobuh.com (replace 'username' with your child's ZooBuh Name) Put it all in lower case.
Extra settings: Plain text, no encryption, no SSL, no TLS.
REMEMBER, SSL and TLS should be disabled or turned OFF. Sometimes with an iPod Touch, it requires you to reboot the device prior to setting up the
account.
When setting up your outgoing server information, you will be required to authenticate using the same credentials as the incoming settings.
( iPhone / iPod users: http://www.zoobuh.com/howto/pop3iphone/howto-iphonepop.html )
iPod users that are experiencing problems connecting have usually resolved the issue by first rebooting the device: http://www.zoobuh.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=271
